Glögg is the Scandinavian form of mulled wine, a traditional winter drink used especially around Christmas to warm up!

Glögg is usually prepared from not too expensive and sometimes outright cheap red wine. Cinnamon sticks, cloves and sugar are a part of this drink, and almonds and raisins are often added to the Scandinavian version. Recipes can vary widely, but what does not change is the warmth and good cheer shared as friends come together over a cup of glögg to share a moment together during this special season.
